Families have to decide whether they want to adopt an infant baby, a toddler, an older child, or perhaps a teenager. Another decision that must be made is from what country would you like to adopt. Would adopting a baby or foster child from the United States be best for your family or would you prefer to open your home to a child from another country that needs a family? If God has brought adoption into your life, there is more to this than just bringing a child home. This decision has eternal significance and it is important that you let the Lord take the reins. This decision will go far beyond your immediate family; it will impact extended family, friends and neighbors, co-workers, and God?s church. That is why you need not rush into this without prayerful consideration and gentle leading from the Lord. When you are doing God?s will, He will make His path clear. He will open doors where He wants you to go, and close doors where you are not supposed to go. You won?t have to wonder.
Orphan Care Alliance (OCA) Adoption Seminars were created to help families through this complex process and present information to families so that the path isn?t so daunting. This Seminar gives you an opportunity to meet and fellowship with others who are considering adoption and present questions to experts in the adoption field. There will be many breakout sessions covering such topics as adoption myths, choosing agencies, attachment issues, finances, and more.
