The YMCA has introduced a new and fast dance class in your program every Tuesday and Thursday.
6 to 7 pm, Christy Bozeman taught and into the world of Zumba.
According to her Facebook page, Zumba Fitness is a Latin-inspired dance-fitness program that mixes world music and the steps to fitness.
"Since its inception in 2001, the Zumba program has become in the world 's" and successful "dance-fitness program with more than 12 million people of all shapes, sizes and ages taking classes weekly Zumba in more than 110,000 locations in over 125 countries, "according to the website.
Bozeman said the classes have filled 35 to 40 people each.
"It's dance, which is aerobics cardio," said Bozeman. "'S dance, but it' s not a lot of fitness in it too. You don 't have to be an experienced dancer or a good dancer. It' s easy to follow the movements."
Trish McCullough, who works at the Caf? Court Square, attends the class and loves us.
"[Bozeman] is very, very good to teach us," said McCullough. "She'll show us moving and always say it 's important to keep moving. I love being in his class, and she has a good heart."
Currently, the YMCA is in the process of creating another class with another teacher, Bridgette Cook.
"Bridgette Cook licensed on 11 September and that'll teach Monday and Wednesday. We 're going to offer four nights a week," said Bozeman. "We 're actually looking down the back wall and expand the room."
Amanda Phillips, CEO of the YMCA, said that 's good for the health and fitness programs that are offered.
"We are targeting anyone," said Phillips. "This is a very fast-paced exercise. It just gives people another opportunity to work and get your cardio workout in, and the music is great."
Kayla Thomas, a dental assistant and hygienists in the office of Dr. Robert Crosby 's said that everyone is there to have fun.
"It 's without prejudice," said Thomas. "You don 't feel you' re being watched, and everyone is there to have fun. It makes you feel good, and that 's rises high and makes you feel accomplished."
There are several different versions of Zumba, and expects to receive training in Bozeman Zumba for seniors and for children Zumba.
"I recommend it to everyone," said McCullough. "I'll be in the kitchen, and I'll be doing Zumba, while picking. I just tell everyone that they have to go. We 're a small family dance. I just know that I love, and I can 't wait no more. "
