The European Commission is hosting a high-level Conference in Brussels on 26 January 2012 under the theme "Translating Mineral Resources Wealth into Real Development for Africa".
The aim of this event is to explore how the European Union and Africa can further implement their co-operation on raw materials, in the context of the agreement of the African and EU Heads of State of December 2010. More than 300 senior officials and experts are expected to attend from Africa, Europe and beyond, representing public bodies, industry and the civil society.
